Transport

It is quite easy to travel by bus or train. Tickets can be purchased at the rail station or from the driver, if you travel by bus. Travelling by public transport is economical, but the most of the infrastructure is rather old. If you are under 26 you are entitled to 26% off the ticket.

However, as a foreigner you will find it hard to understand Polish railways’ regulations.
For example: if you need to change from one train to another, you need to make sure that both trains you are taking are owned by the same company. If they are not, then you need to purchase two separate tickets. Usually that kind of information can be obtained from the ticket office at the station. Make sure that you know a little bit of Polish before you ask anything though; you will find some helpful phrases below.

We strongly recommend renting a car.

Poland doesn’t have many motorways and there is no motorway going to Leba. You are going to drive through the country roads, so you will probably encounter slow moving vehicles, such as farm vehicles, tractors and bikes. Drive carefully and respect the speed limit. Please also remember that you drive on the right hand side!
