Money

The official currency in Poland is Polish zloty, which divides into 100 groszy.
At the moment (February 2011) you can get 4.53 zlotych for £ 1.

You can exchange your money at one of the exchange offices (polish: kantor), at the airport or one of the banks. The rates shouldn’t vary greatly, but you can always shop around.

Poland is not an expensive country. Below you can find examples of some of the prices.

If you are fancy some retail therapy, then the best option is to shop in small, local shops. They have clothes you can’t buy anywhere else and they are much cheaper. Stores, such as H&M, Levi’s or Zara will have exactly the same prices as in the UK.
