Language

First language in Poland is, of course, Polish.

Many people, especially young, speak German and English and most of the time it is quite easy to communicate. However, Leba has not had many visitors from English-speaking countries and you will find that signs and menus are usually in Polish and German. So, it is a very good idea to take a dictionary with you and be patient (you can purchase pocket dictionaries in your local bookstore or at the airport).

Polish people are very open and are famous from their hospitality and they love it when foreigners learn their language, even if it’s only few phrases. Younger generation also like to practice their English language skills, so who knows? Maybe you will find new friends?
